So we're out. Here's why.

Since the announcement that we had decided to vote to leave the European Union, I have done nothing but hear voxpops of people who voted out citing reasons that have nothing at all to do with the EU.

Here are some of them: eight reasons why people voted to come out, according to the 10 o'clock news , 23rd June 2016, which spoke to people at a chippy in County Durham and at a water-cooler factory that exports to the EU.

I think it's a class divide to be honest

They forget about us down south

We should bring the government to the middle of the country

Let us all have a say, because we are really sick of the way things are

I've never seen any Labour people here

People have just become disillusioned. All the money is piled in down south. Any businesses seem to be in the south of England and they just leave us in the wilderness

There are too many people coming in. We'll always keep foreign workers

The North of England has taken the opportunity to get back at Cameron for the years of austerity.

That's good then. All solid reasons which leaving the EU solves.
